Draw and fire drill
6 out of 6 times, student must draw and fire one shot into A-Zone of IPSC target at 7-yards.
All 6 in A-zone, all times under 2.0 seconds.
Multiple target drill
4 out of 4 times, student must draw and fire one shot at each of three IPSC targets at 7-yards.
No hits outside C-zone, all strings done in 3.5 sec. or less.
Reloading drills
Student must draw and fire one shot into C-Zone of IPSC target, reload and fire one more shot into C-Zone of IPSC target, gun going to slide lock. Repeat three times.
Time is 5.0 sec for each string, 6.0 if mag doesn't fall, 8.0 for revolvers, all C-zone or better hits.
One handed shooting skills
At 4 yards, student draws and fires strong hand only, 6 rounds in all A-zones. Repeat for weak hand, starting at low ready.
Must have at least all A-zone hits, time is 6 seconds, both hands
Moving and shooting, and moving target.
Part I:
Moving and shooting: Standing in a 6' box, close enough to touch target. On signal, draw and move, firing two shots. Do this twice backing up, twice to the right, twice to the left. Shooter must be outside the box by the time the second shot fires. A -zones required for all levels.
Time is 1.8 seconds.
Part II: Moving Target. At 7 yards, when target appears, shooter draws and fires 2 shots into A-zone of IPSC Target.
Approx. exposure time is 2.25 sec. Repeat three times.

Multiple target drill
4 out of 4 times, student must draw and fire one shot at each of three IPSC targets, 5 yards, No hits outside C-zone, all strings done in 3.5 sec. or less.
Malfunctions: Extra 3 seconds for a level one stoppage or emergency reload, an extra 10 seconds for a level 2 stoppage. If gun becomes inoperable, then student may retest with new gun.
