FAS' low light simulator

WEEKLONG RIFLE CLASS

This class, combining elements from our Levels 1 Rifle, Level 2: Tactical Rifle and Level 3: Close Quarters Carbine classes, recognizes the popularity of our weeklong classes, especially with students who do not live nearby. These special weeklong training endeavors provide an opportunity for students who live outside the Pacific Northwest to load up on several FAS classes without having to waste the week-days between classes in our traditional week-end training schedule, or incur the expense of three separate trips to FAS.

New for 2008, we are pleased to offer in one week beginning-to-advanced rifle training that will challenge our students to master their own rifle, starting at basic concerns like gun safety, sighting in and accurate trigger work, rifle cleaning, and working up to more advanced drills including transitions to handgun, moving and shooting, shooting moving targets, and the tactics and shooting methods applicable to distances ranging from muzzle contact out to 200 yards. . . and this is just the beginning! Students will train for and test on the challenging FAS Rifle Masters test, though passing it is just a confirmation of exceptional skill and is not required to pass the Weeklong Rifle program. In order to accomplish this goal, each training day may be up to nine hours in length, depending upon on the size of the class. For details about topics taught, please click on the class titles highlighted above.

Prerequisites include successful completion of our Defensive Handgun class or the old FAS-2 or 40 hours of other advanced handgun training or the equivalent from another reputable firearms training facility (this requirement is in place due to transition to pistol drills). You will need your own a .223 semi-automatic rifle and handgun of .380 ACP caliber or larger. Due to the nature of the material presented, a valid, state issued Concealed Weapons Permit, law enforcement or military ID or other background check is required. Call if you have questions.
