NICK BOLTON

Staff instructor Nick Bolton is a career law enforcement officer retired after thirty years of service. He most recently worked as Detective with a large municipal police department. Nick has extensive previous experience as an instructor from his own department as well as the police academy. He has previous active duty experience in the Infantry, and served overseas as a trainer in Bosnia and other assignments in Kosovo.

Nick is qualified as a firearms instructor at both the federal and state level, holding numerous certifications in both weapons skills instruction and instructional technique and methods. In addition, he has teaching certificates from the Lethal Force Institute, Defense Training International, Glock, Inc., and Singleton International. He completed the firearms instructor and the advanced handgun instructor programs at the Smith and Wesson Academy, and has taken all offered courses in pistol, shotgun and rifle at The Firearms Academy of Seattle, prior to moving through the FAS instructor program.
